wedding Dance

The story mainly focusing on the beliefs or culture of the people in the society . It shows how a certain tradition can affect the relationship of the two married people. The patriarchal society was being shown , in which man dominates. I don't like it because in the story, women became useless if they can't give child to their partners. The feelings of the characters were not given high attentions.  It is a very sad story considering that Awiyao must find another woman named Madulimay who can bear a child and leaving his wife who is Lumnay alone. The scenes are not boring and it  can surely touch every readers heart!

Jose Garcia Villa"Footnote to youth"

Jose Garcia Villa's footnote to youth is a simple story yet has a great impact in our generation today;considering that their are so many young people nowadays who are having family at a wrong time. The story is all about the two lovers who decided to get married at their early age without thinking of what would be their future. The worst part their is the decisions they made before which they think now is wrong are done again by their son. I like the story because it teaches us lessons that in an early age everything must be cherished or enjoyed especially in love affairs. Everything has the right time to be settled on;it is not necessary that we must be in a hurry in getting married in order to be together with our partner.I like the way the story it was presented in the sense that the writer is picking some issues in real life scenarios that must be given a full concern!!!!!!!!!!

NICK JOAQUIN:SUMMER SOLSTICE

Nick Joaquin is really fun of superstitious events considering that there are scenes in his stories especially in the "summer solstice" that are really far from reality. It involved scenes that are out of control and done harshly. But although the story contains unbelievable and exaggerated events, I like the way it was presented because in a single way it teaches us lessons. Like "the man should not always think of being superior to his wife but rather treat her as important as his life". In the summer solstice there is a revenge of a wife to her husband because of not being a good man to her. I like the part when Doña Lupeng let her husband crawl like an agonize lizard and kissed her feet because it was the time that Don Paeng must pay those hardships that his partner encountered living beside him. The characters are really weird!! I like the way the story ends because woman become the superior to her husband. It seems that in spite of those sufferings, woman finally won the game!!!
